The Tour Editor
The Tour Editor is where you build a tour. It opens after you create or open a project, and it looks the same on every platform. Only the layout adapts to the width of the screen.
Layout
The editor has two layouts, chosen by screen width (not by device):
- Wide (760 px and up): desktop windows, tablets and large phones in landscape. A permanent sidebar on the left holds the project name, the Run and Export buttons, and the list of sections. The selected section fills the rest of the window.
- Compact (narrower than 760 px): phones. A top bar shows a back button, the project name, the current section, a Run button (play icon) and a Sections menu button. The menu opens the sidebar as a drawer from the right, with Run and Export inside.
On desktop the sidebar also shows the project folder path. Click it to open the folder in Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
Sections
The sidebar lists these sections, in this order:
| Section | What it is for | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Panoramas | Import and manage the 360° photos of the tour. | Panoramas |
| Tour Map | Set a map image and place pins that open panoramas. | Tour Map |
| Hotspots | Place hotspots on each panorama and give them actions. | Hotspots & actions |
| 3D Scenes | Create and edit walkable 3D scenes. | 3D Scenes |
| 3D Models | Import GLB models for use in 3D scenes. | 3D Models |
| Image Assets | Images for hotspot icons, "Show Image" actions, the tour map, map pins and 3D textures. | Image Assets |
| Video Files | MP4 videos for "Play a Video" actions. | Media files |
| Audio Files | Sound clips for "Play an Audio" actions. | Media files |
| PDF Documents | PDFs for "Open a PDF file" actions. | Media files |
| Custom HTML | Write your own HTML pages to show with "Show Iframe". | Custom HTML pages |
| Settings | Loading text, main panorama, description and tour controls. | Tour settings |
Run and Export
- Run builds the tour from your latest changes and opens it full screen inside the app. Use the back button to return to the editor. See Preview with Run.
- Export (called Export ZIP on desktop) builds the tour and packs the whole project into a ZIP file. On desktop you choose where to save it; on mobile the share sheet opens. See Export.
How saving works
Most sections save immediately: adding a panorama, placing a hotspot, adding an action or editing a 3D scene writes straight to the project's WTMProject.wtm file. There is no global Save button.
The Settings section is the exception. It is a form with its own Save button and an "Unsaved changes" indicator. Unsaved settings are also saved automatically when you switch to another section, press Run, press Export or go back to the welcome screen, so you do not lose them.
