Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the 3Sixty Studio app on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, and when you visit 3sixtystudio.com.

Who we are

3Sixty Studio is developed by Habibie and published by CiihuyCom ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the data processing described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@3sixtystudio.com.

The 3Sixty Studio app

Your projects stay on your device

You do not need an account to use 3Sixty Studio. Panoramas, images, videos, audio, PDFs, 3D models, Custom HTML pages and project files are stored only on your device: in a folder you choose on Windows and Mac, or in the app's own storage on Android and iOS. We do not upload, collect or have access to them.

When you press Run, the app starts a small web server that is only reachable from your own device (address 127.0.0.1) to show the preview. Nothing is sent to the internet for this.

When you Export on a phone or tablet, the system share sheet opens and you decide where the ZIP file goes (for example Files, e-mail or a cloud drive). That service's own privacy policy then applies.

Data kept on your device

The app stores a few settings on your device so it works the way you left it:

  • the list of recent projects (name, folder path, last opened);
  • on Windows and Mac: your Ciihuy Coins balance and ad-free time, stored in encrypted form, and a random device ID (see Ciihuy Coins).

This data never leaves your device, except the device ID when you redeem a coin code. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes it.

Files and permissions

The app only opens files you pick yourself in the system file picker. It does not scan your photo library or other folders. On Android it does not need the storage permission. The app uses the internet only for the ads and coin codes described below, and to open web links in your browser when you tap them (such as Support Us).

Ads on Android: Google AdMob

The Android app shows a banner ad provided by Google AdMob. To show, measure and, where you allow it, personalize ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, such as:

  • device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID;
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
  • ad interactions, such as views and taps.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

In regions where consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before any ads are requested, and ads are only loaded when that is allowed. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your Android settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Ads on Windows and Mac: Ciihuy banners

The desktop app shows banner images served from our own ad server (imhere.ciihuy.com). To do so, it downloads the list of current banners and the banner images. No device ID, account or personal information is included in these requests, and the ads are not personalized. As with any web request, our server receives your IP address and basic technical information (such as the time of the request); we use this only to deliver the banners and keep the service secure.

When you click a banner, your browser opens a link on our server. The server counts the click for that banner and forwards you to the advertiser's website, whose own privacy policy then applies.

You can hide the banner for a while with Ciihuy Coins.

Ciihuy Coins (Windows and Mac)

On first launch the app creates a random device ID: a string of 32 random characters. It is not derived from your hardware, name, e-mail address or any other personal information.

When you redeem a 9-digit coin code, the app sends the code and this device ID to our server (account.ciihuy.com). We use them to check that the code is valid, to make sure each code is used only once, and to prevent abuse. Your coin balance itself is kept on your device, not on our server.

iPhone and iPad

The iOS app shows no ads and does not contain an advertising SDK. It does not use Ciihuy Coins. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Tours you publish

The tours you export are your own websites. 3Sixty Studio does not add advertising, analytics, cookies or tracking code to them.

If you add external content to a tour, for example a web page in a Show Iframe action, an Open URL link, an embedded video or map in a Custom HTML page, or your own JavaScript, those services may collect data from your visitors. The same applies to the web host you publish on. As the publisher of the tour, you are responsible for informing your visitors, for example with your own privacy notice.

This website

  • Visitor statistics. We use Umami to count visits: pages viewed, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type and country. Umami does not use cookies and does not build profiles of individual visitors. See the Umami privacy policy.
  • Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser then connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Cookies. The public pages of this website do not set cookies. The documentation editor, used only by the site administrator, uses a session cookie to keep the administrator logged in.
  • Hosting. Like any website, our web host processes your IP address and technical request data to deliver pages and protect the site.
  • Downloads. The Android app is distributed through Google Play, where Google's terms and privacy policy apply.
  • E-mail. If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to answer you.

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent: personalized ads on Android, where consent is required.
  • Performance of a contract: validating the coin codes you redeem.
  • Legitimate interests: showing non-personalized ads that fund free development, counting ad clicks, website statistics, answering messages, and keeping our services secure and free of abuse.

How long data is kept

Data on your device stays there until you delete it or uninstall the app. On our side, redeemed coin codes and the device ID used to redeem them are kept as long as needed to prevent a code from being used twice. Ad click counts are kept per banner, not per person. Technical request data is kept only as long as needed for delivery and security.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete everything the app stores by uninstalling it or clearing its data. On mobile, deleting a project in the app removes its files.
  • Control ads on Android with the consent form and your device's ad settings.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority.

To make a request, write to hello@3sixtystudio.com. For requests about coin codes, include the device ID or the code concerned, because we cannot link your request to a device otherwise.

Children

3Sixty Studio is a tool for creating virtual tours and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for our servers, store as little data as possible, and protect the data we hold against unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or website changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes, we will make a clear notice on this website.
